BlackSheep Productions hauls 1st and 2nd highest-grossing films in the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino!
Almost every year, local movie goers anticipates the much awaited "Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP);" a week-long celebration of Philippine Cinema where new quality genre Filipino films are screened for one (1) week in all regular cinemas nationwide. Cinemas all over The Philippines are only allowed to show the list to showcase Original Filipino Cinematography.
Last September 18, ABS-CBN published a report indicating the three top-grossing entries of PPP 2019.
The highest-grossing entry is Black Sheep Production's The Panti Sisters starring Paolo Ballesteros, Christian Bables, and Martin del Rosario, garnering P85 million.
The film tackles the story of three (3) gay brothers who must have an offspring to earn a P100 million inheritance from their dying father, Don Emilio.
The film is directed by Jun Robles Lana
Open, a daring romantic drama about the life and struggles of two lovers fighting for their relationship with the solution of having an open relationship. Directed by Andoy Ranay, this bold movie starring Arci Munoz and JC Santos, got second in the box-office gross. The film was also produced by Black Sheep Productions with T-Rex Entertainment.
Sue Ramirez and RK Bagatsing's Cuddle Weather, placed third. The film was produced by Regal Entertainment.
Yesterday, September 19, was the last day of PPP Year 3.
