He was a chef and been cooking lechon since high school.
The recipe came from her grandma and volunteered to convert the sacred recipe into a money-generating business. He decided to start the business in Metro Cebu to bring that elusive Cebuano taste to the people of Metro Manila.
The name Manong's Lechon Cebu has no other meaning except that it catches the attention of the public easily. "Manong" can easily be recalled and understood by a lot of people even if you are not a Cebuano. What differs them from other lechoneros in Metro Manila is the taste of their lechon as they have a different way of grilling it.
Other specialties of Manong's Lechon Cebu include Lechon bangus, Lechon Baka, spaghetti, and lumpia Shanghai which featured on National TV several times in 2009.
